They Call me Rasp-utin.

Hello,

Happy Tuesday, everyone. I am so thrilled to be done with my school work. If I had a clever analogy prepared, you can bet I would've dropped it RIGHT HERE. However, I don't have one. So... how 'bout them Knicks?

I've prepared some goodies for you guys! Right here, I have a little summin' I call "Tonight."

Ain't it purdy? I would just KILL to have that on a t-shirt (WINK WINK.) Eh, who am I kidding? I am terrible at winking.

I've been drawing a lot of Ivan, lately. He's my little cat-nephew-thing while my sister is traveling. He will probably be staying with me until February or so, which makes my home a cozy haven for three, count 'em, three animals. Whoop...ie. Pie. Anyway, here are a couple of doodles I've done of him pretty recently.

Well, I have to go water the plants (that's a lie.) I will post more stuff late (also a possible lie.) Sorry.
Go Forth and CONQUER. Also, vote for me on Projekt30 before the 18th. DO IT NOW.

Do it, please. Do it for me! Do it for your country! DO IT FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY.

I could give this a snarky title, but why would I do that?

Hey, all you crazy cats!
School is under way, and I couldn’t be more drowsy. In all seriousness, though, things are pretty rad. I’m learning all about cameras and television studios, which makes me yearn to get out of school all the more. I should be updating my site with my video work from the summer (if you haven’t checked them out already), and this semester should prove to be lucrative in terms of new projects! I am currently working on a short (make that VERY short) story that I’ll post here for y’all soon. It involves meat. I’m also working in finding a way to spread my fancy art-love to you, the reader. It will most likely come in the form of an Etsy account, but I promise not to turn into a Regretsy case. Pinky promise.  I also promise not to spam you too often with business business, but hey—Wan-Tsunami’s need incomes too, damn it.
Also, this may be a bit off topic, but I feel like I came up with an ingenious way to train my acquaintances to respect my right to not “give a shit.” The concept is simple. I get some monopoly money and fashion them into “give a shit” coupons. Once someone does enough favors for me and/or treats me nicely, they earn a coupon. Now, in order to illicit a shit-giving response from me, the shit-giving seeker would have to cash in their collection of coupons. With a butt-load of faux Monopoly money riding on the deal, I feel like the shit-giving seeker will have to really think about the issue they bring to my shit-giving table. Everybody wins, especially me.

Even MORE to come... maybe.

The Fruits of Summer Time

Hello, everyone!
As the summer winds down, I find myself wondering where all of my time went. Well, aside from a fantastic KMFDM concert and hanging out with family, nothing too significant came to pass. However, here are some fun little projects that I did in my free time, I hope you all enjoy!

This is a photo I took of my kitty, Kira, that I fiddled around with in Photoshop. Fun times, eh?

Face Replace!

Another Face Replace!

I had a little too much fun with the Face Replaces ^^;;

This was a project that I did for Edward. It was pretty effective.

... Face Replace again.

This is a little Fan Art that I did of Courage from Courage the Cowardly Dog. I wish that I could own this little guy as a friend for Luca!

What fun, right? There should be more to come soon (I just need to be better at scanning things in. Also, I should have my paintings up sooner than later :3) My vitality soars as high as an airplane! Later, y'all!

Adventures in Fudgies-Land

Hey, all!
I know that this post is long overdue, but I PROMISE that I haven't been shirking my updating duties for just anything. In case you didn't know, I've been powering up my video muscle, and you can expect to see some video projects from me very shortly! I have to say, I never thought that video shooting and editing would be my cup of tea, but it's definitely been growing on me :]

I also have a new comic from this past month-- it's called "Not Again." It's a fun tale of what happens when a dog, Pook, gets left alone during the day. If you're a fan of dogs questioning their sanity, then I know you're going to love this one. I had a lot of fun writing and illustrating "Not Again", and I definitely think it shows. I haven't decided whether or not I'm going to post the whole thing online, but I'll at least give you all a little taste. Check out my website in a while for more info... but don't go quite yet. I'm actually not at home-base right now, which makes updating rather difficult. BUT! I plan on printing copies of "Not Again" in the prettiest of fashions, so be sure to keep a lookout for awesome things to buy, love, and cherish for years to come! Please help me buy things to make more things with? ... please?

Speaking of buying things, I had feared that Nabisco had stopped making their Fudgies Oreos altogether, but apparently my local Meijer is just the devil incarnate and stopped carrying them. Luckily Minnesota still stocks them, so guess who's coming back to Michigan with a trunk full of Fudgies? WAN-TSUNAMI, THAT'S WHO! Also, I may or may not be lugging a bunch of nifty popcorn flavors along with me. (If that isn't riddled with bathroom humor, then I'm not sure what is.) But, in all seriousness, salt and vinegar popcorn? Please. I was sold before I was even sold on that idea. Anyway, keep an eye out for some fun stuff heading your way. Ed and I have been planning some sweet makeover ideas for the website, so it should be looking dope later this summer. Prepare for videos, doodles, comics, new paintings, and MORE. It's the more that makes it superior to your other artistic brands. Until later, guys.

Toodles,

Wan-Tsunami-nator.

PS: Here's one of that-thar videos I was talking about. Check it out, and I'll have some more for you in a while!

PPS: I almost forgot! I have been fiddling around with digital photography this summer as well. Here are my highlights from my course, and keep an eye on my Flickr account if silly photos are your thing.

Coconuts and Loose Change

Hey, everybody--

I hope that everyone is doing well. Me? Well, aside from a harrowing dream that I just experienced, I'm pretty dandy, thank-you-very-much. You see, this wasn't just any ordinary dream. It was one of those makes-you-question-the-state-of-your-life kind of dreams. It started out like any ordinary dream about work would-- the whiny customers, but unexpected burns, typical, right? Well, in saunter these two girls, and my dream self KNEW that they meant trouble. After some finagling, one of them notices our coconut syrup on the counter, and insists that we use it in her drink. I stated that the coconut syrup is for employees only until a certain date, after which she plummets into an inconsolable fit. I have no idea what do to-- I'm Diana, for God's sake, so I grab one of my co-workers for help. Oh, did I mention that no one in this dream was making any sense? I might have forgotten that bit. One of them was somewhere searching for his pants, and the others were flouncing about in a gelatinous fashion. Well, I guess that isn't too far from real life, actually. After all the hullabaloo had passed, one of the coconut girls decided to pay for her very LARGE order in loose change. Normally, I would fashion my dream-self to be quite level-headed, but I was proven wrong after I flew into a mighty rage, so mighty, that I woke myself up with my fury.

Now awake, I stared off into space for a bit, mostly to try to figure out why I was so enraged. I made eye contact with the cat, who still doesn't give a care about me. Then, the sad, sad realization hit me-- I just had a nightmare about work, coconuts, and pennies. This is going to be an interesting Wednesday.

Lordy, Lordy

Hey, everyone! It's been too long since I dropped by here, so I figured that I should fill my poor blog in on the latest goings-on. Recently, I've been pretty bogged down with school and work, so a couple of projects of mine have been slow in the making. However, I promise that they're going to be absolutely fantastic once they're finished :D

In better news, the spring semester is almost done, which gives me a good week or so before summer classes begin. I'm going to be studying under Ryan Claytor again (which should be a pleasure and much needed experience), as well as learning about "the Digital Image" and film and audio basics. It's kind of strange, actually-- this semester is my last with the "fine arts," and I honestly feel that the split is mutual. We are probably better off seeing other people at this point. I promise (maybe) to update later, but we'll see. With exams, a game night, and Rammstein on the horizon, Wan-Tsunami is booked pretty solid. ;] Until later, Bloggums.
